App Marketplace

The marketplace is a separate hosted service; self-hosted Shopnex instances connect to it.

Sign up at the marketplace, create an app (App URL, max access, optional redirect URLs) to get a client ID and private key, then publish it.

In Admin → Apps → Marketplace (super admins), connect once. The marketplace verifies your public URL by fetching GET {url}/api/v1/marketplace/challenge, then issues an instance key. The catalog syncs every 10 minutes (or on "Sync now") into the local apps table with source = 'marketplace'; apps gone from the catalog are delisted.

Anyone can run an instance, so apps confirm installs with the marketplace via POST {marketplace}/api/v1/installations/verify (a client assertion, instance_url and shop_id). @shopnex/app does this when SHOPNEX_MARKETPLACE_URL is set, and caches the answer for an hour. Instances report installs and uninstalls, and send the full list on every sync.

Custom apps (Admin → Apps → Custom apps) are for private integrations that never touch the marketplace.
